Okay I know this show was several moons ago, but it is still on my mind a lot. My Brother, who is a huge Rik Emmett fan, and I made the trip and
I have to tell you we both came away with an appreciation for both of you!
This was my first solo “Glen” show, and the first time to ever see Rik Emmett. My Brother knows now, why I rave about your music all the time. You have a new fan, and I now listen to Rik.. 신용카드현금화
I have a couple of questions. Was this the first time you had shared a show with Rik? Do you think there may be more down the road?
My other question is about your song writing . I know Jo Dee Messina is getting ready to release “Delicious Surprise” and was wondering how she came to choose this song?? Or for that matter how does any of your songs get recorded by other artist? Do you send these songs out or do they approach you? My Brother and I are both curious about this, and hope it doesn’t sound like a dumb question.
We both Love, “Welcome to Hollywood” and hope there is yet another Cd in the works. Thanks for the great show!! 신용카드현금화

Deb,
I’m glad you and your brother enjoyed the show. I thought Rik Emmett was excellent that night and I walked away with alot of respect for his guitar playing.
Yes, it was the first time I had done a show with Rik – and the first time I ever met him. Do I think there may be more down the road? Nothing is impossible.
As for your question about song writing, I don’t actually know how Jo Dee Messina found “Delicious Surprise”, but I am certain it was because of Beth Hart’s album. Perhaps Jo Dee, or someone in her camp, is a fan of Beth (who really is a force of nature), but this particular cover was not “pitched” by anyone. It was chosen by the artist. Which is a new one for me.
More often songs of mine have been solicited by “song pluggers” and publishers who have meetings with record companies and producers and artists, suggesting tunes to be recorded. But ewven THAT scenario is kinda rare for me I’m afraid.
In any case songs are usually “sent out” to people. The running, popular belief in the industry is that there is always a need for a good song, so it’s a matter of getting those songs to the right people. 신용카드현금화
Though I have my skepticism about that.
or do they approach you? My Brother and I are both curious about this, and hope it doesn’t sound like a dumb question.
I’m happy to hear you like my latest album, and I’m grateful you turned your brother on to my new music. Thanks for the letter,
Glen
